Subject:HTML Validation

Hi All,

Not sure whether any of you are interested or not but I am currently maintaining the website of the Guernsey Tenpin Bowling Association (www.gtonline.net/community/gtba for info:-)) and I am endeavouring to make all the pages HTML 4.0 compliant.

I noticed last night the www.w3.org now provide a facility to validate pages on your hard drive, and it works using IBrowse at least, haven't tried V3.2 yet. This means that you can validate all the pages before uploading them to the web.

Also a question for those in the know out there, I have a display problem on IE5 with the GTBA home page. There is a table cell at the top with the words Guernsey Tenpin Bowling Association in. When viewed in any of the Amiga browsers this text is centered in the table cell, as it should be. But when I display it in IE5 it is left justified! Have I done something wrong or is it a quirk with IE5??

Thanks in advance,

A La Prochaine
